Dikkertje Dap - Haman Yeh - H
Dikkertje Dap (name of the boy, dikkertje can be translated as little chubby)

Dikkertje Dap climbed the stairs
in the morning at a quarter past seven
to give the giraffe a sugar cube.
Hello Giraffe, said Dikkertje Dap,
you know what I got?
Red boots for the rain!
It's not true, said the giraffe,
Dikkertje, Dikkertje, I am stunned.

Oh Giraffe, said Dikkertje Dap,
I gotta tell you more:
I can already spell three characters:
a b c, how smart is that?
I can also almost do math!
I can draw pretty figures!
By Jove, said the giraffe,
my man, my man, I am stunned.

Say Giraffe, said Dikkertje Dap,
would you not allow me to
secretly slide down from your neck?
Just for a moment for fun
do you think that the earth of the Zoo
when I hit it, will be very hard?
Hop on, said the giraffe,
step up and slide off.

Dikkertje Dap climbed the stairs
and with a scary big step.
On the neck of the giraffe
Dikkertje Dap gave himself a push,
woosh, there he slided with speed
till the tassel of the tail.
Boom!
Au!

Bye Giraffe, said Dikkertje Dap.
Tomorrow I will come back again with the stairs.
